Community Events This Week in Austin!

Exciting week as two of my short films will showcase this week as part of two separate community events in Austin.

Alley of Hidden Dangers! will screen in Austin Community College's Carnival ah! 2012, at the Kick-Off film festival on Tuesday April 10th. "Alley" will screen alongside 5 other short films about identity and community. The event is free and open to the public and will be held at ACC's Rio Grande Campus, Mainstage Theater.

Then, Post-Racial will screen as part of Cheese and Other Oddities, a showcase of Asian American theater, performance, and film. The show opens on April 13th, and will play Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm for 2 weeks at the Salvage Vanguard Theater.

Leng Wong, star of "Alley of Hidden Dangers!" and a local actor/producer created the event as a showcase for Asian American artists in the Austin area. I've met some of the other filmmakers/playwrights/performers, and it's going to be a great show! Purchase advanced tickets at www.luckychaos.com.
